High hopes for Arsenal team this time round

Things have changed since the days of the invincibles

It's been a long time coming, but Arsenal are finally back in the Champions League. The Gunners missed out on Europe's elite club competition last season after finishing fifth in the Premier League, but they secured a return to the competition by winning the FA Cup. Arsenal have a proud history in the Champions League, having reached the final in 2006 and the semi-finals on two other occasions. However, they have not won the competition since 1994.

Unai Emery has set his Arsenal side the target of winning the FA Cup this season, with the club having retained the trophy in August. The Gunners have not won the Premier League since 2004, but they have won the FA Cup a record 14 times. Last season, they lifted the trophy after beating Chelsea 2-1 in the final. If they can win the cup again this season, they will equal Manchester United's record of 12 FA Cup wins.

Arsenal have a number of talented players in their squad, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, and Mesut Ozil. They also have a number of promising young players, such as Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock. However, they will need to be at their best to win the FA Cup this season, as there are a number of other strong teams in the competition. Manchester City are the favourites to win the trophy, but Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are also in contention.

It's going to be a tough season for Arsenal, but they have the potential to win the FA Cup. If they can do that, it would be a major achievement for the club and for Emery.
